A blog post graphic with the title "NVIS INSIDE AND OUT" in large blue text. Below, smaller grey text reads "A LOOK INSIDE NVIS TECHNOLOGY THAT'S USED IN MILITARY & DEFENSE APPLICATIONS". To the right, a slightly blurred image shows a person in military camouflage gear using a laptop computer with a world map displayed on the screen. The person is also holding a radio communication device. The background shows a dry, rocky landscape. The "AGDisplays" logo and website address are in the bottom left corner.

NVIS Inside and Out

A standard LCD screen has potential applications that are more expansive than any engineer could have imagined. The Goldilocks approach to LCD manufacturing has, however, limited the amount of out-of-the-box possibilities for many standardized models, and left some users searching for a more personalized approach. Industries like avionics, commercial and manufacturing, and the military particularly require LCDs to be used out doors and in conjunction with other external imaging equipment like goggles, glasses, binoculars, cameras or HUDs. For these customers, AGDisplays has engineered enhanced NVIS displays to be used in low light, low power situations, and innovative high bright LED rails for easy readability and use in harsh ambient sunlight. Because of AGDisplays ability to engineer enhancements around existing panels, we are able to offer the most advanced LCD NVIS upgrades available to a near endless supply of models and designs.

The interior of an advanced aircraft cockpit is shown, dominated by several large, brightly lit digital displays integrated into the instrument panel. The primary display on the left shows flight instrumentation, including an artificial horizon, altitude, airspeed, and vertical speed indicators, along with navigational data. The central displays depict a moving map with weather radar overlay, and possibly other navigational or system information. Smaller digital and analog gauges are visible below the main screens, along with numerous buttons, knobs, and switches. A control yoke is prominent in the foreground on the right. The overall impression is of sophisticated avionics technology designed for modern flight management.

The Diamond of AGDisplays

AGDisplays is celebrating our tenth year of business this month, and like any great decade, the nostalgic growing pains of our youth are giving way to a new confidence and relationships built on higher and higher standards. What began in 2007 as a small venture to make better LED rails, has blossomed into a business that rides the crest of technological innovation. From repairs and enhancements, to innovative engineering solutions, AGDisplays leverages our experience to exceed what many think is possible from an LCD screen. During the past ten years, AGDisplays has worked with top entertainment companies like Disney, huge transportation businesses such as Wabtec, major electronics manufacturers like GE, and has created and integrated designs for the US military and high-class medical facilities. Our products can be found in caves, on waves, at 39,000 feet, unearthing buried treasure, fighting America’s enemies, and monitoring a patient’s vitals. Our enhanced displays have found purpose all around the globe and in the most extreme conditions.
